Update on GeoCoinFest Bid

Post date: Aug 16, 2010 2:45:29 PM

For those of you who were not able to make it to the "Lunch and a Movie" event this past Saturday, here is an update on the bid to bring GeoCoinFest 2011 to the Carolinas.

A few weeks ago, a group of us got together to film a video explaining why we think the Charlotte/Rock Hill area would be a great venue for GCF 2011. Last week, Brian (Rabbit of Caerbannog) finished editing the video and it had it's premier at the lunch event this past Saturday. The video came out great! If you did not get a chance to see it, unfortunately, you will need to wait a few more weeks. The video has to be in by August 31. As such, we do not want to release it on the internet until after that date. We don't want our competition to see what we have. :)

After August 31st, the video will be available online for viewing by anyone who wants to see it. Check back here or on the GCGC forums for the link.

At this point, we are just waiting until September 19th (the date for this year's event) when they will announce the winner of the bid for next year.

See ya!
